TWO WEEKS TO GO

It is two weeks to go to the EAGS Summer how and Celebration. Do try to come along.

This year we're having a picnic, so bring along your food and drink, plus your table and chairs. We will have three b-b-q's fired up for everyone to cook their burgers, sausages, or whatever you fancy.

Show staging is between 10.30 and 12.30. Last year we had 17 people showing 160 entries. The standard isn't RHS professional so do try to enter something, be it 3 carrots or a bottle of chutney. In the past the were Summer Shows galore around the country, but now they seem to be disappearing. I imagine there are many reasons for this, but let's attempt to buck the trend and keep ours growing. The schedule and hints for exhibiting are available in the office, and within this website.

Anyway, back to the day. Show judging will be between 12.30 and 1.30 approximately. Gates will open at 1.00 or even earlier if there's a vast queue along Gorringe Road.

Music will be between 2 and 3.30, provided by the fabulous Watson Brothers - all the way from Las Vegas - well, Eastbourne.

Prizes will be presented at 3.45 followed by the world famous raffle draw. These will be hosted by Stephen Lloyd.

Sometime in the afternoon we will fit in the throwing the welly competition. There is an age limit on this of 90 - health and safety concerns, the excitement is not good for anyone over this age.

We will also have face painting provided by Claire's daughter.

For all this it will cost £3 per person. A veritable bargain.
