Welcome to Eastbourne Allotments

EAGS manages over 1,200 allotments across 14 sites in Eastbourne on behalf of Eastbourne Borough Council. To apply for a plot you must be over 18 and a resident of Eastbourne.
A standard allotment measures 5 rods or 126 square metres, although we do have smaller and larger plots available. For the 2026/27 the annual rent, including water, is 63p per square metre, £79.38 for a 5 rod plot. When taking on a plot, a £70 deposit is also paid (as from 1st April 2025).
There is currently a waiting list of 2-3 years for an allotment in Eastbourne. Maps and addresses of all our sites can be found in the allotments menu tab where you can also print off an application form. Completed forms should be sent to the EAGS Office. Alternatively call into our office in Gorringe Road to complete a form and find out more information.
The office is open Wednesday to Saturday from 9.00 to 12.00, and Sundays from February to October.
The allotment shop is open Friday and Saturday from 9:00-12 noon, and Sundays from February to October.

We are now beginning to collect recipes from across EAGS to compile a recipe book that we hope will be on sale for Christmas 2027. We would like people to share recipes that use the fruits and vegetables they grow on their plots. You will be acknowledged in the book by name or, if you prefer, you can contribute anonymously. Please feel free to contribute as many recipes as you like. No recipe is too simple. We all have days when we come home exhausted and a quick, tasty dish from fresh vegetables makes a welcome easy meal.
